History
Quailridge Plantation boasts a storied legacy rooted deep in tradition and the spirit of the great outdoors. Quailridge began as a family-owned turpentine farm set on several thousand acres of pristine long leafed pine. In 1969, Quailridge founder Edwin Norman, along with his son John, began offering Quail hunts out of a refurbished farmhouse. Not long after that, they were joined by two more of Edwin’s children; Ed and Ellen. From the start, the emphasis was put on the experience of genuine Southern hospitality. Over the years, more houses, as well as more family members were added to the property culminating in an environment where our guests feel more like family than bird hunters. Quailridge has played host to guests from all over the world and has never strayed from its roots of providing a down-home southern experience. Over the decades, it has become a renowned hunting destination for those looking for the best quail hunting South Georgia has to offer.
Today, we continue to uphold the traditions that have made Quailridge a beloved hunting locale, while also incorporating modern amenities that cater to both seasoned hunters and novices alike. The blend of rich history, pristine quail woods, and a commitment to excellent service ensures that Quailridge remains a premier destination for outdoor enthusiasts year after year.
