What To Expect

Breakfast is served at 8am.

Your guide will collect you at 9am to begin your hunt.

The morning hunt will last until 12; plenty of time to work up an appetite for lunch.

The afternoon hunt will begin at 2pm. 

Your guide will have you back at the lodge by 5pm.

Dinner is served at 7pm to conclude an excellent day in the field.

What To Bring

• Guests are encouraged to bring a small gauge (20 ga or smaller is preferred in the quail woods) break action shotgun (using a break action helps hunters to keep up with their spent shells. we pride ourselves with keeping the woods as clean as possible! House guns are available to rent for a fee.
• Our guides work hard to ensure you have an enjoyable and safe hunt. Many of them bring their own string of dogs that they have to feed and care for year round. Owning birddogs can be very expensive! Cash tips are appreciated at the end of each hunt. We recommend a minimum of $100 per half day hunt. 
• You are welcome to bring your own shells, but we have ammunition available for purchase.

• Proper boots for hunting. You will be hiking for birds for 3 hours at a time, so bring something comfortable and rugged enough to withstand the occasional briar bush. 

• Snake chaps/boots. Our hunting courses are home to a plethora of wildlife including Eastern Diamondback Rattlesnakes. If your hunt is booked for a day we are experiencing warmer weather, please take proper precautions. 

• Hunting attire with safety orange. For your safety, please wear bright orange to be more visible to your hunting partner.

• A healthy appetite for good food and adventure! We aim to provide a one of a kind quail hunting experience that we can’t wait to share with you!
